1. About This Platform
1destination.co.za ("the Platform", "we", "us") is a listing platform that connects independent trip organizers ("Organizers") with people looking to join group trips ("Travelers"). We do not organize, operate, guide, or supervise any trip listed on the Platform. We do not process payments and are not a party to any booking, payment, or transport arrangement made between an Organizer and a Traveler.
2. Accounts
Organizer accounts require registration and a manual verification process, including submission of a valid phone number, email address, identity document, and photograph. We reserve the right to approve, reject, or revoke Organizer verification at our discretion. Travelers do not need an account to browse trips, comment, or request to join a trip; guest contact details are collected only when submitted voluntarily through a form.
3. Organizer Responsibilities
Organizers are solely responsible for the accuracy of their trip listings, including dates, pricing, itinerary, and any claims made about the trip. Organizers are responsible for their own compliance with any laws, licensing, insurance, or safety requirements applicable to the trips they run. The Platform's verification process confirms identity documents were reviewed; it is not a guarantee of an Organizer's competence, safety record, or trip quality.
4. Payments & Transport
All payments and transport arrangements for a trip are made directly between the Traveler and the Organizer, entirely outside this Platform. We do not collect, hold, process, or refund any payment related to a trip booking. Any dispute regarding payment, cancellation, or trip quality is between the Traveler and the Organizer.
5. Listing Fees
From time to time, the Platform may require Organizers to pay a listing fee to publish or unlock full functionality on a trip. Where this applies, it will be clearly indicated in the Organizer's dashboard. Listing fees relate solely to use of the Platform and are separate from any payment made by a Traveler to an Organizer for a trip.
6. Acceptable Use
When commenting, submitting a join request, or registering as an Organizer, you agree not to submit false, misleading, abusive, unlawful, or fraudulent information or content. We reserve the right to remove any content and suspend or reject any account at our discretion.
7. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss, injury, damage, or dispute arising from a trip, an Organizer's conduct, a Traveler's conduct, or any payment or transport arrangement made outside the Platform.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
